Website Pre-Publish Checker

Before this page goes live, what should you fix? One check covers the title, meta description, canonical, noindex, Open Graph and Twitter tags, broken links and resources, H1, image alt attributes, JSON-LD syntax and HTTPS.

We fetch the public page from our server and check it in your browser. The URL is not stored.

What it checks

  • Indexing signals: HTTP status, redirects, noindex in meta robots and the X-Robots-Tag header, canonical and whether the canonical URL loads.
  • Search snippet: title and meta description (present, single, length).
  • Sharing: og:title, og:description, og:image (loads, is an image, its real pixel size), og:url, og:type, twitter:card.
  • Page basics: HTTPS, language, mobile viewport, H1.
  • Image alt text (structure), JSON-LD structured data (syntax, types, value formats), and whether robots.txt lets Googlebot crawl the page.
  • Links and resources: every link, image, script, stylesheet, icon, video and iframe on the page — broken (404), server errors, redirects, timeouts, mixed content, same-page links to missing ids.

Each result is Fix before publishing, Review, Passed or Not checked. “Not checked” means we could not observe it — it is never counted as passed.

Example

A staging page copied to production still has <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> and a canonical pointing at the staging domain. The check reports the noindex, the canonical to another URL, and the conflict between them — and gives the corrected canonical tag to copy.

FAQ

Does it change my site?
No. It only reads the public page, like a browser would.
Is it an SEO audit of the whole site?
No. It checks one page, before it goes live. Crawling a whole site is not part of this tool.
Does it use AI?
No. Every check is a fixed, documented rule, so the same page gives the same result.
Why is something “Not checked”?
We could not observe it (for example the image did not respond in time, or robots.txt is outside this check). Check those items yourself.
